Emily and I deeply appreciate the time you spend before our Lord on behalf of the work in Japan. We truly believe that it is one of the most important ways that you can participate in this mission alongside us. While our email newsletter will have more specific prayer items each month, here are some suggestions that will always be welcome:
- Please pray for the Tachikawa church family. They follow Christ in the midst of a culture that doesn’t make it easy. Pray for encouragement in their faith, boldness in their interaction with non-Christians, and willingness to seek God’s will for their lives daily.
- Please pray for the ministers and missionaries serving the church in Japan. Many work secular jobs to make ends meet while also preaching, teaching, and pastoring their faith communities. It is often a tiring and thankless position. Pray for strength and wisdom, for steadfast service in the face of cultural headwinds, and for regular moments of Sabbath rest.
- Please pray for the people of Japan. May the Holy Spirit work mightily in the hearts of people all across this nation so that they will have ears to hear the Gospel message. May they see the light of Jesus in the Christians that they meet, and may that light shine brightly to draw them into a relationship with the Father.
We thank God for you, and for your perseverance in the ministry of prayer. Be looking for the prayer items in the email newsletter each month.
Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply
and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.
You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion,
and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.
~ 2 Corinthians 9:10-11
